Meet Jennifer

Authentic Care. Personalized for you.

My journey into counseling began long before I earned my degrees or became a therapist. While studying psychology at Oakland University, I volunteered at a suicide prevention hotline. It was there that I discovered something that would shape the rest of my career: I had the ability to sit with people in their darkest moments, hold space for their pain, and help them find hope without judgment.

That experience inspired me to pursue a Master's degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University and ultimately led me to private practice, where I could provide individualized care free from the limitations often found in larger systems.

For more than 20 years, I've worked in the field of mental health, helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and the many moments that leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), I use evidence-based approachesβ€”including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed careβ€”to meet each client's unique needs. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all counseling because no two people have the same story.

Clients often tell me they've never shared certain parts of their story with anyone before, or that they finally feel seen and understood. I consider that one of the greatest privileges of my work.

I believe every person already possesses strengths, resilience, and wisdom that can become difficult to access when life becomes overwhelming. My role isn't to tell you who to becomeβ€”it's to help you rediscover who you've been all along.

Whether you're navigating a difficult season, questioning your direction, healing from past experiences, or simply feeling like you've lost yourself, I hope to provide a place where you feel safe, supported, challenged when needed, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you find your way home to yourself.
